About this School Project (Painted Portrait)
Artists learn about the history of portraiture, and artists Frida Kahlo, Angelica Daas, and Marcos Raya then create their own realistically proportioned tempera self-portraits. Students learn a transfer technique and transfer a photo of themselves to their paper. Artists learn temper painting techniques and how to maintain their materials in the painting studio center.
