About this School Project (Spring Hyacinth Flowers)
Kindergarten created these cheerful spring flowers after learning about the changing of seasons and how spring influences their environment around them. This was a sensory rich project as students used their fingers and switched between multiple art mediums. They started by learning about light and dark VALUES of their green crayons to create stems, leaves and grass with CONTRAST. Then they were introduced to CHALK PASTELS to create their sky. Finally they dipped their fingers into blue, pink and purple paints to created flower petals with white added for a light value highlight.
