About this School Project (Then and Now Self Portraits)
It's time to celebrate how much your child has grown as an artist. In art, it can be challenging to see growth if one day students paint, the next day they sew, then it's on to sculpture, collage or one of the many other studios students have the opportunity to explore and create in. That's why this project is my favorite. On their very first day in the art room, students drew a self-portrait. Now that we're nearing the end of the year, students get to draw another self-portrait. We love seeing the progress we've made and the ways we've grown in craftsmanship, attention to detail, proportions, and so much more!
