About this School Project (Monet Garden Paintings by 2nd)
The children in Second Grade have been learning a bit about the artist, Claude Monet. They have heard a story about Linnea, a little girl who visits Monet's Garden in Paris with her neighbor Mr. Bloom. We saw some of Monet's paintings which look very much like splotches up close but from far away look very realistic. The students tried their hand at making lovely garden pictures using mixed media. We later water painted over them to give a similar very Impressionistic feel just like Monet We hope you enjoy our work.
