About this School Project (My Hand Sculptures-Grade 3)
Students created the shape of their hand by tracing it onto a slab of clay. After firing the hands in the kiln, they were painted and reinforced with another hand the students cut from felt. They created a small wire sculpture from pipe cleaners of something that would be interesting to hold in their hand for the finishing touch.
