About this School Project (Splatter Painted Kite)
The students experimented with different colored paints and and a toothbrush to create uncontrolled splatter marks on cardstock. Then they cut the shape of a kite out of the splatter painted paper and glued it to a blue painted background with white splatter paint. The students learned when different pieces are glued together to create a new artwork, it is called a collage. To complete the kite, the students used a white oil pastel to add a line for the string of their kite.
