About this School Project (Glazed Slab Built Pottery-Grade 5)
In art class, grade 5 students got hands on experience building a cube from clay! They rolled out the faces of their box-like container with a rolling pin and learned to attach all of the sides together. They added their own personal decorative touches for decoration around the outside of the box and created a lid if they wished. Later students glazed their pieces to create a colorful and glossy finish.
