About this School Project (1st Rainbows)
Students practiced the color order of the rainbow (ROYGBIV) with their choice of art medium and pattern. We also discuss using different types of untraditional shapes to make a rainbow. Like the rainbow on the Mario Brothers race car track that loops. There are many different types of color songs as well we sing along with in class to remember the color order and other types of color cobinations. We have a rainbow prism in the art room window as well. This allows us to discuss the science behind why the sun shines through the prism and makes rainbows on the walls of the art room!
