Artist Statement (what Sofia17749 said about their artwork)
- I think my favorite part of the artwork is the butterfly. Even though it took some time to make it, I think it looks really cool. I also really liked the process of making the bowl. One of the things I liked the least was the fact that my butterfly lost an antenna. I still liked it and now my butterfly is also a unicorn.
- Something that surprised me were the colors. It really made me realize that I really have to pay attention to what it says on the bottle rather than the color it is.
- if I were to do it again I would try out another shape. Overall, I really liked the experience and I will surely want to do it again.
- Some of the concepts I learned were score-slip-stick, if I need to stick to sides of the bowl together. I also learned the different stages of clay. Some of the ones I remember are slip, plastic, bone dry and leather dry.
- Overall, I really liked this unit and I want to continue pottery. Thank you for this amazing unit !
