About this School Project (3rd: Comic Book Selfies)
Roy Lichtenstein is an artist who looked at comic book frames and painted them in large scale, changing them to his own style. He was known to use pixilated dots and primary colors in his artwork. Students used iPads to take a selfie and used guided access to freeze screen the iPad in order for them to trace their faces in a cartoon style. Students used colors of the world crayons to color their skin color and bright markers using mostly red, yellow, and blue to color their clothing. We also learned about onomatopoeias and students picked one sound word to include in their artwork.
