About this School Project (7th Grade Ceramic Relief Tiles)
Students will create a ceramic tile using traditional ceramic (clay) techniques, including rolling a slab, slip and score, coil and carving/impressions. Students will be able to create a tile in whatever shape they would like, and give it any design of their choice. Once the ceramic tiles are fired in the kiln, students will paint them with acrylics and coat them with a glossy varnish.
