About this School Project (Floral Still Life Collage)
In this grand undertaking of a still life project, kindergarten artists did it all - painted, drew, colored, traced, cut, glued, and even created a weaving! Working from a real life reference, they mixed colors from the primaries and white to match the flowers presented. Continuing to work from observation, they then drew shapes to represent each flower, stem, and leaves. They used a crayon resist technique to create their vases and black and white paper to weave their tablecloths. Their collages were assembled, then finished in crayon.
