About this School Project (2 - Still-Life)
Second graders learned about the life and work of Vincent VanGogh, focusing on his “Sunflower” paintings. We observed how he used overlapping, highlights, and shadows in these paintings. Each child drew their own vase of flowers and added color with oil pastel. Blending colors, adding a highlight on the vase, and creating a shadow on the table added form to the shapes used and made the work more convincing.
