About this School Project (3/4- Faith Ringgold Word "Quilts")
Faith Ringgold was our Artist of the Month for March! She's an extremely talented seamstress and artist who is still alive today. Her specialty is sewing beautifully patterned quilts then painting images on them. Her art work speaks about civil rights and the hardships of her heritage so she often uses words to create designs. The 3rd and 4th graders chose their own word to create similar paper "word quilts.
