About this School Project (Grade 6- “Ringgold” Composition)
Students viewed mixed media artwork by American artist Faith Ringgold, who created “genre” artwork of her community. She developed paintings of people then created a quilted border and attached text about the scene. They created compositions of themselves involved with an activity and added a collage border frame and a sentence describing the scene.
