About this School Project (Op Art Design)
Students learned about the Op art movement-where the artists intended to trick the eye of the viewer. We talked about Bridget Riley, a well know Op artist, who focused on using complementary (opposite) colors, primarily black and white. Students made a design using lines and circles and had to choose a complementary combination of colors for their piece. Students carefully filled the sections like a checkboard using maker.
