Artist Statement (what Annabelle5714 said about their artwork)
for this artwork, i used oil pastels to create the piece, and i used my fingers to blend it. i based my drawings off of my paper on Aboriginal Rock Art, which i made in art class.
About this School Project (6th Grade Cave Art)
The 6th graders studied prehistoric art.They learned about the earliest art found on earth through researching caves found in Europe, Australia and Africa. Each student selected a cave to study and use as as inspiration to create their reproduction using pencil and oil pastel on wrinkled butcher block paper. They had a lot of fun creating their piece.
