About this School Project (Abstract Weavings)
First grade learned about abstract artist Wassily Kandinsky. Abstract art is when the art does not look like real-life objects but instead uses colors, lines, and shapes to create artwork. Students listened to music while creating abstract art, then students cut their abstract artwork to turn it into a loom. Students then wove colorful paper in their abstract artwork.
