About this School Project (1st Grade Alma Woodsey Thomas Paintings)
Students learned about the famous black American artist, Alma Woodsey Thomas. She did a painting of an eclipse that was our inspiration for this project. Students created a line pattern by stamping erasers in paint and stamping them around a shape they glued to their paper. We discussed how lines show movement.
