About this School Project (2nd Grade I Can Fly Project)
Students learned about the famous black American artist, Faith Ringgold. She made a story quilt called "Tar Beach.' We watched a story about this quilt and about her life. Students created a quilt with small pieces of paper and drew themselves flying over someplace they would like to go. We colored our pictures with colored pencils.
