Artist Statement (what Edward5499 said about their artwork)

I researched the animal roadrunner. The habitat that my animal lives in is the desert. An interesting fact about my animal is that they are the second fastest bird in the world. The desert is dry, hot, and doesn’t have a lot a water. My favorite part of the cover is making the road runner because I like the way I made him.

About this School Project (3rd- Animal Books)

This project is integrated with the 3rd grade science curriculum.

It actually looks like the Road Runner is moving. I like that you put cacti and a full sun in the picture to show that their habitat is in the desert. The red letters add and actual "punch" to the picture. Well done!!
