About this School Project (Paper Mache Sugar Skull)
Fourth graders created a sugar skull mask inspired the Mexican holiday, Day of the Dead. Students designed their mask in honor of someone that has passed away or someone special in their life. I was really impressed by the creative ideas and symbolism! Students learned the process of paper mache, chose a color family, and added creative embellishments with Posca pen, fabric paint, and gemstones.
