4th graders began this unit by learning about and trying different tools for showing depth. After looking at artworks by Columbus artists Alice Schille and Charles Burchfield, students thought of a place (real or imagined) that is special to them. Students had their choice of drawing, collage, ink, and painting materials to create their artworks.
