Artist Statement (what Naomi7164 said about their artwork)
I made an accurate re-creation of my face and shoulders with a collage in the background. Most of the pictures in the background are for magazines, but the orange, chicken, and duck are things I drew. I used pencils, thin sharpies, and colored pencils. I traced a picture of myself then transferred it to paper for he drawing of myself. I decided to do a collage because I found a lot of images of things I like. I encountered a few problems, such as almost destroying my drawing with paint since I almost knocked a paint pan on it. I am trying to convey things I enjoy, such as my favorite animals (goats, dogs, chickens, and ducks), my favorite fruit (oranges), and how I believe I look. On a scale of 1-10, I would rate my drawing a 6.5/10 since I'm not the proudest of how it turned out.
