About this School Project (Contrasting Line Design)
Students really practiced patience in using line in this piece! Their first task was to draw lines according to different emotions (happy, sad, stressed, etc). Then they used four layers of these lines and flipped them in a symmetrical pattern and attached the white paper to black as well as colored paper if they chose. Within the blank spaces, students used primarily white charcoal to add intricate line design. Some students also used colored pencil and black charcoal.
