Artist Statement (what MELANIE8301 said about their artwork)
My favorite part of this artwork is the shiny looking parts because I think it brings out more than just blobs. My least favorite part of this artwork is how some red, blue, and green paint smeared. I would have changed the newspaper out because other colors mixed in with the wrong color. Some skills I learned while creating this artwork was printing one print on top of the other. The thing about this artwork that surprised me was how it turned out because when I added the green I thought I ruined any chances of the artwork looking good. First we got these things called gelli plates. Then we gathered our other supplies rollers, paint, white paper, and newspapers. After that we rolled the paint on the gelli plate and put the white paper on top. Next like a stamp we lifted the paper for a cool appearance. Finally, we added details with paint pens.
