About this School Project (4 Picasso City Drawings)
This project was inspired by Pablo Picasso painting featured in the Cincinnati Art Museum's recent Picasso/Landscapes exhibition. We analyzed the art elements he used to create it: geometric shapes, double and triple lines, bright colors and watercolor washes in the background. We looked at the layers Picasso created, and the visual rhythm he created by adding windows to his compositions. Students used watercolor, oil crayons, and liquid watercolors to create these colorful masterpieces.
