About this School Project (1st-Printed Hearts)
First grade students created a printing plate by filling a foam heart with foam stickers. The stickers had to be placed close to each other but they could not overlap or go outside of the heart. From their heart printing plates they made at least four prints by rolling tempera paint onto their printing plates with foam rollers, laying construction paper on top and rubbing. They chose their two best prints to cut out for their project. The background for their hearts was made by using tempera paint sticks to make 100 dots! They glued their two heart prints to the background and added an outline of glitter.
