About this School Project (G7 & 8 - Symmetry & Hand Art)
This is an introductory unit to semester 2. Students had a choice between two creative tasks.
The first task was a bilateral symmetry name, where the students could look for creative objects, patterns, or creatures within their mirrored names. The second option was a tracing of their hands with past & future illustrations/words. This task allowed the students to reflect on who they were in the past (elementary school - yesterday) and what their hopes for the future are after school/college, or university.
The final artwork was incorporated into their online art journal cover.
