About this School Project (Winter Wonderland)
Kindergarten students read "The First Day of Winter" by Denise Fleming and made a lot of great predictions! For our project, we learned how to cut a square in half to create 2 triangles. We had to start from the corner and cut to the opposite corner. We then stacked our triangles on top of each other to make winter pine trees of different heights, sizes and colors. We used a white oil pastel to trace around our trees to make them look extra snowy. Next, we added houses with cut paper and the details with marker. To finish it off, we used white paint and Q-tips for a winter wonderland!
