Artist Statement (what Amalia512 said about their artwork)
My animal is a leopard. I picked her because she just reminded me of things I have done. And it reminds me of sports I do most of all.
The 4 strongest principles of my art piece is….
Contrast because I used a dull base for my design then I used a very bright background to contrast the dull colors in my design.
Emphasis because I truly emphasized the leopards shape and form and used 3d o’s to show the this needed to pop.
Variety because I used different patterns and colors to show mainly different things.
I used unity to finish it off. I chose unity because when I formed the colors they were ver6 similar on the ears and background to not only give variety but at least some sort of similarity between the .
About this School Project (Arch - Symbolic Animal: Principles of Design)
The students brainstormed an animal that could represent them based on their personality. Then they created the animal using metallic colored pencils on black paper. The background demonstrates a transition of their pattern and a watercolor wash. The final works of art are amazing.
