About this School Project (Symmetrical Kusama Pumpkins)
Students were introduced to famed dot artist Yayoi Kusama! We viewed her work and learned about her life story and why she loves to use dots in her work. We created symmetrical pumpkins, and added color in the coolest way! We used markers on aluminum foil in a target design, careful to use colors that would blend well together. We sprayed our marker with water and then printed our pumpkins right on top of the foil! Pulling up the papers was magical!! We then cut these out and added them to a beautiful night sky with a glowing oil pastel moon.
