About this School Project (2- Landscape Collage)
Students learned what a landscape is and how to break the space up into 3 sections (foreground, middle ground and background), in order to create depth. Then, using torn pieces of colored paper, they glued down paper to cover each section. Torn paper, instead of cut, was used to create a more realistic texture that would be found in nature. Lastly, students created details with oil pastels and added them to their landscapes. The students learned how to vary the sizes of objects to make it appear as if some were farther away than others.
