About this School Project (Clay Critters/Turtles)
Our 3rd and 4th Grade Artists created 4 legged clay animals! The 3rd graders were limited to turtles so they could learn the technique to create a 4 legged animal out of one piece of clay without have to stick pieces together. The 4th graders, having already created clay turtles in 3rd grade, were able to branch out and create ANY 4 legged animal! These were more difficult because the 4th graders had to problem solve how to do different kinds of animals without seeing it done step by step. ALL of the clay critters were adorable! They painted them with tempera paint and were allowed to paint them ANY WAY THEY WANTED so we had some COLORFUL CRITTERS!! :)
