Artist Statement (what logan49633 said about their artwork)
The reason we did this project was because Mrs. Churman wanted to make a present for someone in your family.
First, we drew our tree then outlined it in Sharpie then we drew the lines and traced it in Sharpie. Next, we grabbed only shades of green and colored the Christmas tree, after that we colored the ornaments golds and yellow then the outside reds and pinks. After coloring it with watercolor pencils we used a paintbrush and water to blend it all in.
My artwork surprised me. I liked to use the watercolor pencils because it's easier than using watercolor paint. After I blended all of the color in it looked really cool. One thing I like about this is the outside shapes because they look cool. One thing I didn't like was painting the tree because it was a small area and the colors blended together. Overall, I liked making this and I would do it again.
