About this School Project (2nd grade Christmas Quilts)
Students learned about the artist Gustav Klimt. He loved to paint with gold! One of his paintings is of a baby under a big quilt. We used that image for our inspiration along with the poem, "Twas the Night Before Christmas." Students created colorful quilts with metallic paint. They used chalk pastels to make an interesting background.
