About this School Project (3rd Grade Calendar Contest Project)
3M drew a picture relating to the month of February and 3R drew a picture relating to the month of November. A few weeks ago a 6th grade student, Ryan, approached me about an idea he had to raise funds for our school. Ryan is also a student council member. He wanted to create a calendar with student artwork featured representing each month of the year. Ryan and I divided each grade and/or class to represent a specific month. All students in art class will draw a picture that represents an assigned month. 5th grade is drawing pictures that relate to the month of June and it will be a graded project for 2nd quarter.
Ryan and I will select one student's artwork in each class/grade to be the contest winner for each month. That student's artwork will be the one chosen for the artwork used in the Calendar that will be printed and sold to raise funds for the school. All other entries will be on display at the Art Show in May.
