About this School Project (Rainbow Mosaic - K)
For the first step of this project, we started by reading the book Sky Color and talking about how the sky can be many colors other than just blue. Students then learned how to use watercolor paints and painted a colorful sky. After that, we learned about mosaics! A mosaic is a work of art made by setting small pieces of glass, stone, tile or paper onto another surface to make patterns or pictures. We talked about all the colors of the rainbow and then made a rainbow mosaic on top of our colorful skies!
