About this School Project (K The Little Acorn)
K students listened to a story called The Little Acorn, by Melanie Joyce and learned about the life cycle of an oak tree. Students then did a guided drawing of the acorn, and added leaves in the background. We then talked about blending and used two colors when coloring our leaves to make them realistic like the fall leaves we see outside. Lastly, we used green and yellow paint for the grass in the background and blended those two colors together for the grass.
