Artist Statement (what Sebastian12846 said about their artwork)
In this artwork I learned about analogous colors and how blending them won’t make mush. I also learned about negative and positive space. In this artwork the tree is the positive space and the background is the negative space. To make this artwork I colored in the tree with a black crayon and colored in the spaces with analogous colors. The resources I used were watercolor paint and a black crayon.
About this School Project (6th Grade Analogous Color Trees)
The 6th graders used color theory in their watercolor painting of a tree. They learned how to blend analogous colors to create a stain glass window look. They also worked to create negative space that was as important as the positive space in this painting.
