About this School Project (Icon of a Saint)
Fifth Graders watched a video on how traditional icon were made. It showed the long process that an iconographer went through in making an icon and highlighted some of the symbolism behind parts of the process. The students each selected a saint to portray and then were provided an image done by a professional iconographer. They used this as a reference throughout their process of “ writing” their icon.
