About this School Project (Water color & oil pastel design)
Kindergarten students had three different sizes of circles that they drew various line designs on. They used oil pastel for the lines. They learned how oil and water "do not like each other" so the water color paint could be painted right over the top and the oil pastel would pish it away. Students were able to play with the water color paint as they were encouraged to use two colors on the circles so they could see how the colors mixed. Then students cut their larger circles into quarters and the pieces were glued down to make a fun design.
