About this School Project (Line and Shape Zebra)
Students began this project by mixing red and yellow tempera paint. This color mixing experiment became the background for our shape zebra. The next thing students learned, was how to make a variety of lines with a single paintbrush. If you barely touch the tips of the brush to the paper, the line is very thin, and if you put a bit of pressure on the brush, you make a thicker line. Students painted a variety of thick and thin lines with black paint on white paper. We cut this paper into a variety of shapes, which were collaged together to make up the zebra!
