About this School Project (Kindergarten: My First Self Portrait)
In this introductory project to SELF PORTRAITS, Kindergarten students will gain practice in writing their names (this helps their writing skills and helps me learn all their names). They will LAYER bleeding tissue paper on top of their cardboard after names are complete and spray with water so all the colors mix and bleed onto their paper creating a tie dye effect.
On a separate piece of paper students will draw a self portrait using black markers, cut them out and glue them on top of their colorful name backgrounds.
This project takes approximately 3 full art lessons to complete.
