About this School Project (2 - Ish Art)
Second grade artists learned about the author and illustrator, Peter H. Reynolds, and created ish art inspired by the book, Ish, using pencils, crayons, and tempera cakes. We discussed thinking "ishly," like the boy in the book and how not every drawing has to or needs to look perfect. They experimented with creating a work of art that starts from a simple line and did their best to make it look like something new-ish. They also chose a color frame for their art and decorated it with construction paper crayons to complete their ish art.
