About this School Project (Concentric Circles)
Students will begin by finding five to seven different size circles around the art room. Then they will trace them in a concentric pattern. Once they have their paper filled with their circles, then they will trace the circles with a Sharpie. Next they will pick a simple design or object to draw in the center of their paper. This design must intersect or overlap a minimum of five of their circles. Then they will trace their design with Sharpie.
Once these steps are completed the students may begin painting their poroject. The circles will be painted opposite colors than the design. This means they may use warm colors and cool colors or they may use different shades and tints of contrasting colors.
