Students in Kindergarten are learning the ELEMENTS of ART
ELEMENTS OF ART- Foundations of art, every piece of artwork uses at least on element of art: Line, Shape, Color, Texture, Value, Space & Form
Students began by learning and discussing line.
Line- A line is a dot that goes for a walk, it has a beginning and and end, and is open and has space around it.
After discussing and identifying several different lines, students began adding lines to a portrait template to create a crazy hair day portrait. Students were asked to include the following in their work:
-Facial features
-Lines for hair (repeated 4 times, next to each other)
-4 or more different lines (repeated 4 times)
-Color for each type of line
