About this School Project (Chihuly Sculptures)
In this lesson, students used shrink film to create colorful miniature sculptures emulating the style of glass artist Dale Chihuly. Small rectangles of film were decorated with permanent markers, then placed in a hot toaster oven. When the film begins to shrink and curl, students remove the work with tongs, then add magnets to the back for display.
