About this School Project (1st - Line Self-Portraits)
Students had their photograph taken in profile and were encouraged to pretend to scream, whistle, blow bubbles or do something silly with their mouth. I printed these off in black and white and the students could use markers to add colors to their shirt or an accessory. Then they used the variety of lines they learned about last year (straight, curvy, zig-zag, scallop, loopy,etc) to represent the sound or air coming out of their mouth.
