About this School Project (Water Color Still Life-Cubism Style)
This watercolor painting can be kind of difficult at first. Students had to lightly sketch the fruit that was presented. They had to then use a straight side of folded stiff paper to stamp acrylic paint onto the contour lines of the objects. This helped the art take on the geometric angles of cubism and the acrylic was used as a resist to the fluid watercolor paint. Students then learned how to add and take away water color paints to achieve different values within their painting.
